Hi, I'm Elke from Every-art. A Dutch illustrator based in Groningen.
As I’m struggling through life with all its challenges, questions and social structures., trying to find out where I belong and who I am, I tend to look for a place where I can just focus on the simple. The little things and moments and simply enjoy them.
In my work as an illustrator I’ll take you with me to such a place. My little creatures live here. The bold ones, with the boobies. I try to shape an alternate world, where there are no boxes, no difficult structures, less stimulus. Hopefully with my work I can remind you what life is really about. Take away some stress and make you at ease.
I like to work with a combination of analogue and digital techniques. Although my expertise is in illustration work, I love to make my ideas move by animation or film. I’m never stuck at one medium but rather experiment to find out what works best for a piece.
When I’m not working or creating I try to enjoy the little things in life by reading a good book, going on a long walk or drink really good coffee.
